Hello,
I have a 2015 GTi with 60 000kms mileage,
The car has a bigger downpipe and exhaust.
Strange issue, im having, if I accelerate WOT from a standstill, i experience alot of over boost,
1 and 2 is ok, 2 into 3 goes to 1.4 bar for a while, 3 into 4 goes around 1.6 bar.
This is without a tune.
We tested the tune on the car, with the exact same setup , it boosts 1.65 to 1.5 bar boost but on my GTI it goes to 2 bar from 4000 to 5000 rpm.
Ive tried looking for solid information about the actuator but I see mixed answers, what should the actuator voltage be? Some say 3.5 ,Ive had one scanned that works fine shoes 3.86, my one is on 3.65ish.
If i am in 3rd gear and go WOT. no overboost.
Same with 4th 5th 6th.
If we do an acceleration test and back off abit then change, also no issue,
It seems to happen inbetween flat foot gear changes.
I am going to try the adaption in odis because vcds is hiving me a message Aborted - safety reasons.
Has anyone experienced this issue?
Its as if the wastegate is taking too long to open inbetween gearchanges.
Any common checks i can go thru?
We tried explaining this to the dealership when it was standard, they said they cant do anything cause theres no fault code.
And now because of the flash theres no warranty.
