Yeah it works but it's not https. The s on the end is for secure.

So don’t buy anything from that website then. Is that your point?

Honestly, we can go on and on all day about how secure HTTPS is or not but at the end of the day, the only way to really be safe is with a VPN or not shopping online at all. I ordered from that site a few years ago and was fine. Besides, once you get to the shopping cart they have their certificate and it switches to HTTPS.

FYI to anyone, https does not guarantee that a website is secure or safe. It keeps your connection to the site secure, but that's it.

It's definitely up to the person if they want to trust a website or accept any risks, and I have no problem with that. We can respect each other's choices for that.

But just because a website uses http instead of https doesn't mean the website itself is dangerous. Even an https site can take malicious actions (intentionally or -- if they've been hacked on their end -- unintentionally) with your information once it's securely transferred to them.

Do what you want. I just don't take chances. I can't remember what Google's deadline is but I know it's soon that any site that isn't https won't be allowed on the Chrome browser. If I was going to use that site I would use a VPN so my info is encrypted.

I don't remember the deadline but it's soon that http websites won't be allowed. And it isn't that the site is malicious it's that an http site isn't providing a secure connection. Meaning it's vulnerable to hackers. Caveat emptor.

I'm willing to bet a lot of us in here are IT, Net Ops Engineer for a large cable company (that will remain nameless) here. That's why I said I'm sure we could go on all day about this HTTP(S) nonsense. But I think this thread derailed a little bit more than it should have.

I'm curious about what people measure on their multigauges. I monitor Boost, Voltage and IAT mainly but I also have, Commanded A/F (I think thats the wrong measurement), Timing Advance and Horse Power (completely useless)
