Curious if anyone here has taken a 2019 golf r dsg to the track or has any dragy times to share. I am on the fence about getting one. I just don’t want it to be not as good as the older ones have been.

My guess is they’ll run the same low 13’s as an ‘18 would, stock for stock. Performance wasn’t enhanced for the ‘19’s. Color choices were!

I wound up going to Pacific Raceway in Kent, Wa. tonight.

I did nothing to the car except install a BMS pedal tuner prior to leaving this afternoon. No weight was taken out. Had about 1/3 tank of Chevron 92 in it.

First pass was made without the pedal tuner turned on, so it was stock.

12.991 @ 103.97. 60 ft. was 1.876. 1/8 was 8.325 @ 83.37.

Second pass I turned on the pedal tuner to the highest setting and ran it as before.

12.869 @ 106.27. 60 ft. was 1.867. 1/8 was 8.231 @ 84.90.

I'll try and post the 2 slips up in the other section tomorrow.

Pretty impressive little beast.

I’m guessing this is the R I saw on one of the FB groups with a grey Z06 as a weekend toy. Nice cars and passes!

I currently have a 2017 s3 with a drop in filter and apr stage 1 and tcu tune. Everything else is stock. Full weight it ran 12.1 at almost 112. I think the golf r is an overal better package and have thought about switching.

I'd say that's pretty impressive. Where were these cars back in the mid 80's when I was wrapped up in the 5.0 patrol?

Agree. With a upgraded intercooler, charge pipe kit, and some intake parts I think it will run high 11 second times. Pretty amazing.

2019 GOLF R DSG; I try to go once a month.

Again very impressive.

I have a CTS direct fit intercooler coming. Might not add any power, but will help with the IAT's.

Warm weather at Pacific Raceway last night.

With the CTS intercooler and JB 1 installed I dropped the ET from

12.86 to 12.52, same MPH 106. 60 Ft went down from 1.86 to 1.79.

I wonder if the Group 3 JB 1 is giving up power VS the Group 1 the Golf R is designed for?

Wow it broke into the 12’s basically in stock form?! Very nice[emoji1303] lil” 4 banger we’re driving[emoji3]. Mine’s still a “virgin “ but plenty quick for now anyway.
