Curious if anyone here has taken a 2019 golf r dsg to the track or has any dragy times to share. I am on the fence about getting one. I just don’t want it to be not as good as the older ones have been.
I would up going to Pacific Raceway in Kent, Wa. tonight.
I did nothing to the car except install a BMS pedal tuner prior to leaving this afternoon. No weight was taken out. Had about 1/3 tank of Chevron 92 in it.
First pass was made without the pedal tuner turned on, so it was stock.
12.991 @ 103.97. 60 ft. was 1.876. 1/8 was 8.325 @ 83.37.
Second pass I turned on the pedal tuner to the highest setting and ran it as before.
12.869 @ 106.27. 60 ft. was 1.867. 1/8 was 8.231 @ 84.90.
I'll try and post the 2 slips up in the other section tomorrow.
Pretty impressive little beast.
I’m guessing this is the R I saw on one of the FB groups with a grey Z06 as a weekend toy. Nice cars and passes!
Thanks. I guess the new one isn’t any slower. Can’t wait for the tunes.
I currently have a 2017 s3 with a drop in filter and apr stage 1 and tcu tune. Everything else is stock. Full weight it ran 12.1 at almost 112. I think the golf r is an overal better package and have thought about switching.
2019 GOLF R DSG; I try to go once a month.
JB4 on default map, intake. No weight reduction. Running 12.2 @ 111mph. Ill be installing a downpipe and run again soon to see difference .
