I love how the speedo needle is just sitting there but the digital speedo keeps going :D


Due to great PnP LM500 and its smaller upgradecharger-brother PnP LM440 there is big brother on the market - :) PnP LM6XX :)


Here the LM500 proven to extremely reliable:


And smaller LM440 IS20:

Man, that LM440 is hard to argue with, the LM500 is also great.... seems like 80-200kms/hr is near identical on all three of those turbos (almost for sure traction limited)

PnP turbo is the right way to go, a masterpiece
with incredible durability :)

Here the NEW IS38 TRACK LM500 - for Golf MK7 + MK7.5 R + GTI + Clubsport + TCR (2013 - 2019):
1) has the stability core of big LM6XX
2) the early spool of LM440 IS20

Wow very impressive turbo, was there any additional fueling involve or was the stock MPI on the car sufficient to run the turbo the way it is?

Hi Saddart, It was standard ARAL 102 Fuel that you normally get here in Germany at nearly all fuel stations - it is exactly like SHELL 100 fuel here - you can drive the same timing (ignition).
So, no racefuel and no WMI used because they are not needed at all.
European 2.0 TSI / TFSI engine editions have TSI and MPI and competent tuners (MR-Chiptech, Stertman, etc.) also activate MPI more intensively so you can drive more powerfully.
But fuel and software are minor aspects - THE UPGRADE TURBOCHARGER (LM HYBRID) MAKES THE MUSIC (Proverb) - which can be seen in the smooth FLAT TORQUE curve diagram already on the 2. dyno run. The turbocharger has made this curve almost automatically:). Hybrids are getting more and more dynamic and innovative.

Hahaha thanks for the quick reply, yeah where I stay at, our golf are euro spec with MPI, u guys are lucky to have aral102, out 98ron in our country really limit our car power, but I will be going meth to make up for it hahaha. Fantastic turbo they are doing, considering it in the future!! Cheers

Tuning the IS38 OEM turbochargers remains risky - Also the latest revisions (06K 145 874 F/G/P) seem sensitive when strongly tunedjust like the older version like 702N, etc.
Reason for PROBLEMS: OEM CORE and OEM internals !!!
Those internals and the entire OEM core need to be kicked out COMPLETELY to get stability (Most upgrade builders just replace some parts and keep the core - that is NOT enough) .
GET an upgraded IS38 turbocharger like LM (LM500, LM440 or other reliable companies in this forum) that provides full stability, reliability, extreme fast & early SPOOL and gradual increasing power in highest rev like e.g. LM500 IS38 TRACK.

The LM440 IS38 is extremely stable & has fantastically fast
/ early SPOOL & Lots of Potential. Ian from REFLECT-Tuning
and others have installed and tuned it powerfully.
