Have you taken any logs? Scanned for any codes? Any mods done to the car? There are a ton of reasons you could have a rough idle, we need a bit more my guy.

IIRC there was a tuning issue for cold starts on some VW motors, and VW was reluctant to do anything about it. Does it smooth out within 30 seconds or so ?
