When it comes to changing the oil on my 2016 GTD, are there any that are better than others?

Or is it best to stick to stock factory recommended?

Well, the oils that meet factory specs are better than the ones that don't, so there's that.

I'd use a 100% synthetic that meets the VW UK specs.

Audi / VW Quantum LONGLIFE 3 Oil 5w/30 changed regularly will do the job fine, £27 for 5 litres on ebay.
