Spool spike is common with JB4. You can push more boost on E. Map2 isnt much more than map1.

So it’s nothing to be concerned with? Yeah I’m thinking I’ll log Map 2 and then start an absolute Map 6.

Nope.

Don't waste time on map2. Go to map 6.

Is a run from gears 2-5 be useful for anything? Or should it just be strictly 3rd and 4th 1.6k-6k rpm?

https://datazap.me/u/crackness/quick-run?log=0&data=1-4&trim=0&tmin=2.75&tmax=310.63

Current settings are:
1500 0
2000 2
2500 3
3000 3
3500 3.5
4000 4
4500 4.5
5000 4.5
5500 4.5
6000 4.5
6500 4
7000 4

It was about 95-96 f ambient at the time of this run.
Shell 93 fuel, mods: IE CF intake (+"stage 2" pipe), turbo inlet, and Baun Performance FMIC. Stock clutch :(

It's ok, but ideally we want to see low rpm in 3rd or 4th to see what it is doing down low. Everything looks fine.

Running map6 on ~E30 for the first time. I'm running my custom map6 i set in the spring during the cooler weather. Currently just testing it out in the hot weather with e30 blend.

Timing looks good but not sure how to read trims.

I just took my S3 to stage 2 and want to try out map 3 with some e30. I switched to map 3 from 2 yesterday and did some quick pulls, only seeing a peak of 20 psi on the gauges in the app and the car felt pretty stock power wise (definitely slower than map 2). I am on firmware 60/5/5.

Is there anything I need to change in order to get these maps functional? I was going to log and check the boost but I have no real logging opportunities on my drive to and from work.

Map3 is an absolute map probably pretty close to stock psi down low here in the summer with more power up top. Probably feel better in winter. Definitely weaker than Map1 or 2 down low.

If you are FBO on E30 then try map5. Or just stay map6 custom. I still think map6 is superior because you can dial it in yourself.

I think I'll start working on a map 6. It's summer now and IATs are a bit high even with an IC so I may just hang out on map 2 for the meantime. I was just going to try map 3 as an absolute map because of summer temps and pushing harder with additive may spin the turbo up to some serious PSI.

Any idea what PSI I can carry to redline on an IS38? I think I have the wife's GTI carrying 18 at redline on her e30 map 6.

IS38 should be able to run 22psi at 6k and 20 at 6500 without issue; FBO on E30.

i was running a custom map 6 with ~e30 and my IATs were upwards of 120°F and i wasn't getting any timing corrections. Boost peaked around 25 PSI. I'm using an additive map, not absolute.
