Clanking noise on acceleration?

Does anyone have information on this clanking noise while I’m doing a moderate acceleration? Took it to the dealer and they replaced the turbo. I tired it out and got the same noise on a brand new turbo. Was it the turbo? The tech told me he has never heard that noise before.Has anyone came across this problem and has been solved?

Why did they replace the turbo?

I have the same issue when switching gas brands, i always run BP 93 octane and haven't had the issue since. Pretty sure its detonation, but there's really nothing you can do if you already run 93 octane.

They said it could be the wastegate, so they went on and changed the turbo. They said the wastegate can’t be replaced just itself. It’s under warranty still so it’s no money out of my pocket for now.

I also been running 93 octane, so for me it’s not that. Thanks for the response
