I'm just waiting till September, we already have the gti here in middle east , but I'm waiting for the golf R .. I might be the first to buy it here lol

I believe an APR Stage 1 GTI does that without a downpipe, so I would say the stock exhaust may not be that bad. At least not worth spending hundreds for only a few HP and whole lot more noise.
