Best I have is a 2.4. I need to spend the $40 for the Dogbone insert, and probably lower my launch control to 2500rpms. At least that's what I'm thinking.

Oh you're dsg? Tires would probably be where I'd look first if you're on the stock all seasons. I think dogbones are a waste of money personally. I installed motor and trans mounts and a dogbone insert over the winter. My 60s yetserday were exactly the same yesterday as they were last year. I think you'll bog with lc at 2500, but I don't drive a dsg so there are others more qualified to speak to that.

For GTI non-pp guys just pick up a set of these. You'll cut 1.7s all day.

http://www.golfmk7.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30117

For PP GTIs you'll need to pick up a set of 17" slicks.

You'll thank me later.

Thanks for the great info!

If I'm pulling 13.7 with a 2.39 60ft, how much do you think I can drop that with the slicks?

At least half a second of your 60' if you get the launch down

What tires are good for these GTi's, all around for a daily? Michelin Pilot Super Sports? Or the new ones that replaced those? I have all seasons and I spin like crazy. LOL

Yes, Michelin PSS or PS4s. That's what I run. But... you'll still spin. I do.

Okay. Just took her to the track tonight for her first drag night. Our drag strip is terrible and is getting repaved soon. It's about 3-4 tenths slower than any other track around. Here is what I was able to do:
ET: 12.896 MPH: 109.40 60': 2.189 DA: 1558 Model: MK7 GTI 2.0T IS20 DSG 93oct, Full Weight, Nitto NT-01, COBB 5150.93, WHACKAMAC (J. Neutron), Medford, OR

edit... i just read the spreadsheet... did I just break the Full Weight no slicks IS20 record?

... any reason I can't post pics?

Trap speeds seem a bit low? Stage 1 cars hit 108-110mph. But that E/T is very quick

Youtube video of the run: https://youtu.be/TIJHPfUv_6k

Sorry that it's so big but I'm on the left. The YT video has more details on the mods and location. Need to dial in my 60 ft with a better launch and I know I can go 13.5 or less.
