Where to buy Haldex filter?

I've only seen 1 website that has the filter as part of the kit for a high price of $219 CAD.

I know VW doesn't specify to replace the filter but I plan on doing it for peace of mind. I've checked many sites with no luck. Where is everyone getting the filters from?

edit: It appears that the filter screen can be cleaned and re-used after doing some digging.

It is a permanent filter that does not need to be changed unless it is damaged.

You can probably just remove the old one and clean it up a little bit if anything, changes aren't required.

Yeah, you could throw it away, but it's not designed to be disposable and replacements aren't readily available. This plastic mesh Haldex filter is conceptually similar to those reusable metal mesh filters for coffee makers that you can get instead of throwaway paper ones.

I did. Down here, ECS wants like $42 just for the 2 bolts and O-rings, so $219 doesn't sound bad at all. You only need to perform the service every 30,000 miles, so what's a couple hundred dollars?
