If its the same JBale harness error i had it's the drivers side reverse bulb shows an error / bulb out warning when you scan (nothing on dashboard).

His fix when i asked about it was "fehlerort mittleres " line for 28 RFL to 00 which stopped it for coming up on scans for me so i've forgotten about it. I think someone afterwards found a better way to do it than changing it to 00 but I don't remember.

What if the outers protrude a bit further than hatch inner lights?

It's only happening on my passenger side and playing with the leveling screws yielded no change

This appeared in my dash but jbale provided solution last night which I have yet to apply.
Hopefully tonight.

UPDATE. JBale's fix worked like a charm.

Hi guys, I have a RHD UK spec 2018 Golf R-line with standard FL LEDs and was hoping for some advice as not much on here seems to be aimed at UK spec 7.5s. I'm looking at 2 harnesses, first is the Audiamant harness. It states the new lights do not require any coding, this can't be correct can it? Any advice or recommendations from anyone who has fitted either of these would be hugely appreciated!

I don't have any first hand experience with the Audiamant solution but it might be possible that you don't need to code a MK7.5 if their added modules take care of the needed changes.

To my knowledge and experience you don't need to add extra modules. Your vehicle BCM is capable to control the facelift lights with OE style coding.

IMO there's no reason why carsystems says "reverse camera" only, but they might use a special way of making their harness.

I made LHD and RHD harnesses for vehicle's of MY2014-2018 and shipped them to US, Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Malta, Spain, Australia, Brazil, ... Just send me a PM if you're interested.

At least in my MK7.5 channel 29 also pops the camera out so it's possible they use this for something else other than reverse.

Robm,
I would personally avoid getting 'modules' and just get a good harness and do the coding.

Question for those of you that have these (with or without fog lights), I'm looking at the kit 5G1052200C but I'm curious about the fogs.

Is it noticeable in any way when reversing if you have a car with a fog light only on one side? I'm don't think I'm going to use fogs and would prefer symmetrical backup lights if there's a noticeable difference from side to side. I have a suspicion that one side will end up with a "half sized" backup lamp reflector. So many options out there online it's hard to tell who's got what

I have the set you mentioned. I'll take a picture of the back of my car, but I haven't noticed any difference in the reverse lights

That would be great, I think I found some answers (see my edited-in link) but I'll ask, what harness did you use?

I ordered a shopdap harness but it seems most people are leaning to Zero's lately, any input on that front?

I have the audiamant adapters. They should still require coding but it is plug and play for ROW cars.

I used the shopdap harness on my GTI, and Zero's harness for my R. Shopdap required me to shave a factory plug, add/move pins, and came with bad coding instructions (that zero actually helped fix!*).

Zero's harness appears to be much better made, required no modifications to factory plugs, no messing around with pins, came with simple instructions and coding that worked right from the start. Not to mention Zero made the harness and shipped it lightning fast. I highly recommend it.

Just realized I never responded to you. I used another member's harness. This was before Zero started making them.

I've attached 2 pictures one with reverse lights on and the other with reverse lights + rear fog.
