Vibrant Resonator to APR DP with Aftermarket CBE

Vibrant 1792 for golf r mk7

I was stg 1 and had installed the S3 resonator delete,

I was a little disapointed with the small difference it made,anyway i went APR stg 2 with cated down pipe ,and now the noise was crazy.




It sounded like a raspy Civic and the drone over 3k was unbearrable .I reinstalled

the stock resonator.....and now it was too quiet.


I called my shop (V.A.G. in LAVAL) and told them to order the 17950.
went it for installation but it was way to big and would rub on the driveshaft..


They add a 1792 in stock (12 inch) and i decided to go with it !!!
The sound is perfect, small amount of drone and with the windows down
its a pleasure to hear , rich sound

I notice a bit with flaps open around 3000 rpm, but vw671 is very anti-drone and I believe he is happy with his system. I am as well, but since my downpipe isn’t resonated, the entire system gives off a bit more boom.

My goal is tamp that down by adding a res to DP.

Do you have a photo of the installation location of the 1792?

Did you install it in the location of the factory resonator or in the midpipe of your APR pipe? Thanks in advance
