Your oil was more viscous than mine so it looks like your factory fill was 5W-40 instead of 5W-30
It's possible but personally I am doubtful that we get a different factory fill here in Canada. In another post you said you changed yours at 1200 miles so I'm not sure that we can really compare, but perhaps mine has just thickened from use?
According to here a 30W is allowed to have a viscosity at 100*C of up to 12.5, so mine was still a 30W technically

Another interesting point, mine tested below their detection limit (0.1 I think?) for fuel contamination, but I feel like I have seen some on other UOAs. Perhaps that accounts for the difference?
