15 days later, I got mine (bought the ones from the ebay link Clem posted in post 54).
Part 1 - Agony
I have a 2017 (Mk7) Sport trim in the US. Fitment was a pain, and idk if it's a difference between the Mk7/7.5 or what... I had to shave down the connector b/c the little plug guides in my side mirrors are at equal heights. The cutout for the plug guides in the dynamic blinkers were at different heights. The connector would never click in place; something's preventing it from being pushed all the way in, though it's like 99% of the way there. I also noticed the inner dimensions of the connector is a bit tighter, as the gasket on the plug had a harder time fitting in there. I said screw it...the gasket's making it so snug in there that I doubt the plug would come out even though it didn't click in place.
Not 100% happy about that, but I already clocked in 1.5 hours of trying to get it right by shaving down the connectors and testing repeatedly. Not fun when I did the whole power folding mirror retrofit in ~3.5. I initially intended on taking photos and comparing the brightness of OEM and these clear dynablink replicas side-by-side on my car in the daylight, but by the time I finished, it was too dark and started raining.
Part 2 - Yay
They're kind of blindingly bright at night lol. I took photos using my phone (Galaxy S7) with a manually set shutter speed so that it's easier to see the difference between this and OEM in my dark garage. Shutter speed is set to be fairly quick, which (in case you don't know) means it's harder for dimmer light to be captured, so keep that in mind.
Photos:
- From the driver's seat.
- In front of the (left) driver side. Notice how bright it is compared to the nearly nonexistent halogen blinker in my OEM LP headlight in the bottom left. The picture makes it look like there's a large difference in color, but in person, it looks the same. The headlight turn signal just looks really orange because of the shutter speed basically muting out its light output, whereas the side mirror turn signal is still like "HEY LOOK AT ME!"
- Comparing the brightness against OEM (left), which again is nearly nonexistent at this shutter speed. Ignore the middle lights, which are just reflections of the garage light.
