vs '73 Nova SS

Went to the local dragstrip with my mechanic. He has a '73 Nova SS, and is running over 100 horsepower more than me, so don't expect a victory dance from me!



It is an 1/8 run. I do not have a lot of drag race experience, so I know that I can do better.

Had a blue one with black vinyl top back in the day. Loved that car.

Yeah you can do a lot better than that. With a decent 60 foot and good shifts you should be able to take a full second off your best time without a tune. For reference I ran 10.0 @ 73mph years ago in a 1998 neon with only an intake. Don’t expect to outrun too many 300+ hp rear wheel drive cars in the 1/8 mile unless you get some drag radials or something.
