So for 200 bucks would it be worth it to buy the Injen intake? Would the Injen intake be able to keep up with stage 1, 2, 3 level tunes? I really want the APR but not for 450 bucks. I rather use the other 250 for a custom built exhaust system or to put towards a downpipe or coilovers.

This was the intake on my 450 whp Mazdaspeed. I'd say you'll be just fine. There may be other options in a couple months, however, as I'm going to be working with a local shop on them developing an intake for the Mk7 (same shop that built the intake for my MS3)

Anything more than the Injen is overpaying IMO unless you find the noise from an open filter objectionable. It was an added bonus to me.
