Ya i get crappy 91 in SoCal, i was just happy i didn't get any knock, but i totally agree with your timing comment. What degrees of timing do pro-tunes/aggressive tunes have? A range?

All depends on many variables, like your climate, fuel, etc.

I run ~14.5 degrees of advance on e50 blend from about 6500-7200rpm. I have a very small window of negative timing at the onset of full boost around 3400rpm.

Ideally in good conditions you want timing increasing through the rev range while you taper the boost off some.

Anyone want to give me a quick look?

This is on 92 octane/e10

As an FYI, we had some ongoing issues throughout the tuning process that was causing some issues with fueling which I couldn't ever completely figure out.

STFT still seems a bit high and injector pulse along with it from my understanding.

It's running rich at high boost and WOT for sure and I would like to determine why the ecu is dumping in extra fuel.

The car feels great and no drivability issues, but compared to others, my STFT is pretty high at the top end. It's even worse in lower gears (2nd and 3rd)

Can’t help you with your log, but I’m kinda surprised that your I/C gained 15* (from lowest to highest temp). Your pull is 4th gear and obviously long-ish but it’s still a surprise to see that for what many on here claim to be the best I/C.

Do you remember what the ambient temp was? From the looks of the IAT at the start, it obviously was cold. I wonder how much worse it’s gonna look when you get to summer temps.

It's not running overly rich. I am tuned by one of the other very popular Cobb tuners on here, and my AFR is right in line with yours. Tuners like to stay around 12 or just under with turbo 4s. It helps protect things. You're good.

That does seem unusual. Eager to see what the OP has to say.

Looks good.

1. IATs look fine to me. It's a 16 second 4th gear pull @ 28psi. Not sure what people were expecting in regards to IATs. Hold it? lol.

2. The car has protection measures built in to protect your cat. When modeled EGTs get high enough it will dump fuel. Ed runs rich and has even stated unless it impacts performance he does. Rich AFR + high EGTs = fuel being added. I'm sure he has adjusted the AFR modeling for protection as well to keep things safe.

Thanks all for the confirmation.
I'm not knocking Ed at all as he did a fantastic job here!

It's mostly me being paranoid as the tuning process was a pain for some reason with my car. I had to replace the factory o2 sensor and MAP sensor along with the PCV unit and it still wasn't logging as other cars normally do. This was all on 12k miles on the engine... so I dunno what was up. I assume my car was built on a Friday afternoon.

IATs are good to me. The intercooler is a beast and works really well. Ambient during that log was mid-high 30's.

Here's a log of Cobb Stage 3 OTS, ambient temp 40F, mods in sig: https://datazap.me/u/jonhahnhaha/cobb-stage-gear-3-ambient-40f?log=0&data=6-9-13-17-18-19-20

This pull was clean with no knock, although timing only went up to 5 which I interpret as power being left on the table. I am fine with this, as I'd rather play it safe. However, I noticed in 4th gear I am getting a bit of knock. This is a pull in 4th, only to 5K RPM (ran out of room): https://datazap.me/u/jonhahnhaha/cobb-stage-3-gear-4-half-pull-0?log=0&data=6-9.

Another thing I noticed is that after tuning, if I put my foot down all the way in any gear starting at 2500 RPM, I hear a bit of a "flutter" with a non-continuous induction noise. This is a bit alarming, as it's not the smooth induction noise I am used to hearing. However, if I floor it starting above 3000 RPM, I get a nice continuous induction noise.

A few questions:
1. Is the level of knock acceptable in my 4th gear pull?
2. Is the "fluttering" induction noise a concern when flooring it from 2500RPM?
3. What can I do with an OTS tune to fix the above things, if necessary?

I'm not a log wizard, but that looks terrible. The Cobb OTS tunes rely on boost and not timing. Your pull starts with -4.5 deg timing and doesn't even reach positive timing until 5200 RPM.

Here's a sample log from my Stage 2 ED car, notice how the boost tapers off and there is no negative timing under boost except where I lifted off a bit.

You can make the tune better by ditching it and getting protuned.
