So is the twincooler better in conjunction with the stock ic? Sorry it's just a little hard to read what was noted in teh research

Yeae being at ambient we're perfect conditions. Cool night and no sun going straight higher speeds. Today I was steady at 15 to 20 over until I did pulls.

Lol I agree I just feel like everybody is jumping on this Intercooler hp gain. Almost like Honda’s and vtech with jdm stickers that claim 25+ hp. Even Mushimoto is jumping on the bandwagon.

I feel like I’m missing something, bigger Intercooler or bigger pipping?!

I don't really recall people doing this for hp gains but to avoid heat soak..

Can't push extra air through the intercooler unless it allows it. Bigger intercooler before piping i would say

You don't think matching a stock IC with better flowing pipes will produce any improvements in airflow?

After much research i found that oem piping seems to be good for power up to 500hp. Is there a noticeable difference? It seems to be still up for debate. $400 on piping with stage 1-2 goals probably not worth the investment. Big turbo...yes you may need it. Back to bringing things to the twin-cooler, you need consistent power and the twin-cooler should do the trick. Now if your going big hp, upgrading the pipes may help top-end power but also may create more lag. Below theres links to discussions on bigger piping; and an actual performance shop that had Lancer Evo 9s and X’s running 9second 1/4 on pump gas explaining their results with different intercooler piping.

Just ordered one, I am stage 2 but never get on my car for too long at a time. Hoping this can keep the heatsoak down!
