I have an issue with my MIB2 unit where the volume knob will stop working completely. I don't think the physical volume knob is defective because it will start working after a few resets of the MIB2 or after turning the car off and on.
Also, in Android Auto, the volume adjustment will get stuck in adjusting the voice command volume instead of music volume.
I tried doing a factory reset of the unit, and also doing a hard reset by holding the power button for 10 second, but nothing has worked.
Is there a way to do a more in-depth reset with a scan tool or ODIN or something? I have a friend that works at a dealership and he's not aware of anything of that nature, but I'm convinced there must be some sort of reset procedure from the factory for this.
Or is the unit itself just defective and I should look for replacement options?
