Is there a way to reprogram my old key...?

Like the title says... is there a way to reprogram my key from my 2016 GTI to my 2017 GTI. I totaled the 2016 GTI but still have the key for it. I would like to get the electronics to work with my 2017 Sport. Is there any way to do that from home?

Only a dealer can, and you have to reprogram all the keys you have at once not just the new / additional one. It’s one of those minimum charges ( 1 hour rate ) at most dealers.
