Headlight install labor cost

Just get the bulbs from deautokey and don’t worry about the whole assembly... IMO anyway.

If you are going for the look of getting HID's then get those headlights.. but if you want brighter lights for 1/4 of the cost then get the DEautokey H7RC's. Then get yourslef another mod with the savings.. lol

Thanks for the support! There are many skeptics out there but once they install these kits they are believers. At the end of the day we are empathetic and care about what our customers install in their cars. If we didn't we wouldn't be here.

I installed mine today. 7.5R reps, and they fit perfectly. Plug n play, clean cut off, zero complaints.

I haven’t driven with them yet, but as far as the installation is as simple as they come. Bribe a buddy with pizza and beer if you’re unsure of yourself all you need is a T25 and T30

wow, that is retarded(not pc) that you have to take off the bumper to swap out the headlights. Removing the bumper to install a hitch is one thing.

You can pull just each side off rather than the whole thing, but I wanted to get all the broken pieces out of my bumper (I hit a deer)

It’s an engineering packaging compromise. A big reason to consider the SE and pay a bit more.

I had your bulbs in my mk6 and they didn’t look like the junky ricey looking lights so many cars have. They were much brighter, and it beat the hell out of spending 500-1k on an HID retro fit that could make the bumper never line up correctly again, which I have seen happen. Or, get a shop to install them at the rate of 100+ an hour, guess why I just got the bulbs? Duh

I don't think you need to "remove" the bumper. I took my bumper off to install my lower lip. You just need to remove enough bolts to pull back the upper part of the bumper. The front bumper is really easy to remove if you want to take it off all the way.

I don't understand why people complain that you have to take the bumper off. I have done it in literally 15 minutes when a buddy hit a racoon and cracked his bumper. No need to jack it up. Really don't need all the screws when you put it back on either.

Hey Jake, I noticed two things.

1. The seam between the bumper and light. I had a gap as well when I reinstalled the bumper because it didn't fit into the uppermost tabs. Did you verify this? Or is it just leak leakage.

2. Do you get light leakage from the side marker area? Experiencing the same thing with my headlights.

There’s no fitment issues, it’s light leakage. The clear lens wraps around the edge so there’s nothing to keep light from spilling out in all directions

Ah I see. The light leakage drives me nuts sometimes, especially from the side, don't know what I can do to fix it.
