MK7 GTI PP -- Stock Lug Bolts? OEM Wheel specs?

Are these cone- or ball-seat?
I'm assuming they're conical, and would work with pretty much any "aftermarket" wheel?
Will need to get 17" for snowtires

What are the stock wheels' specification?
I think I read somewhere they're 5x112, 18x8.5 +49?
What about the hub size?

Thanks.

5x112, 18x7.5 +49 is the stock Austin size.

I think stock VW/Audi bolts are typically ball seat, while most aftermarket are cones.

Racingmaniac is right with all specs and OEM lugs are ball seat. Hub bore is 57.1mm.

Thanks guys! Wonder if there's any "ball seat" aftermarket wheels....hate having 2 sets of lugs! Or I may just hunt down some used 17" VW wheels...

In MK6 I do have 2 sets of bolts....my winter wheels were used Audi wheels that I kept with the stock bolts, and summers were cone seat wheels.

I had to remember to keep a set of stock bolts in the trunk for the spares during the summer months..

I'm actually going a completely different route. I'm getting a stud conversion kit so I can use lug nuts rather than bolts and it makes it easier to change wheels.
This is the conversion kit that takes the thread size from M14x1.5 to M12x1.5. The M12x1.5 is more of a "standard" size used by many manufacturers including BMW (which I did studs on my 3-series).

Here are some of the options of lug nuts/locks.

You can get cheap ball seat nuts for your winter setup.

That makes sense. For now I will keep stock wheels as I really like the look of the 18". Would need spacers to fill the gap though.

Thanks, but I would prefer not to go that route. I'll be purchasing the wheel guidance sticks so changing wheels won't be a problem.

VMR and Neuspeed both make wheels with the same ball seat so you can reuse your stock lug bolts :)

Great info. Will look into them next winter, or possibly hunt some used OEM VW/Audi wheels online. Thanks.

I've never heard of different radii... It's just ball seat (sometimes called radius seat) or cone seat.

Right. I understand the difference between both ball and cone. But when it comes to wheel locks I've seen 14x1.5 r14 27mm shank and r 13. Just want to make sure I get the right ones that fit Stock lugs
