Engine Overspeed

Shifted from 6200 rpm in third into 2nd. I think it fully engaged. (Felt like slamming on the brakes). Read my cars codes and it had a code for engine overspeed. No CEL though. Runs good, sounds good. Leave your opinions and experiences with overspeed situations like this.

I couldn't find any threads on this so figured I'd start one. Probably affected the life of my car. I'm on a fresh oil change. Possibly crying myself to sleep.. lol

Get a compression check done.

Sounds like you dodged the money shift bullet. If you do need work done not sure if they will cover it for that code.

Can you erase the code?
