correct me if I am wrong, but that chart shows that it would only hold 407 ft/lbs of torque. that would have us at the slipping point for anyone one on a stage 2 93 file.

I'm on a hybrid IS20 with wheels bigger than an IS38 and 5150 tuned. It is holding fine with that and I have been on this clutch setup for over a year now.

I believe I read that apr stage 2 93 file was rated for 407ft/lbs

https://www.goapr.com/products/ecu_upgrade_20tsi_gen3_mqb_r.html

Would this hold stage 3 as well? I would assume It would cutting it close. I am about to go stage 2 and considering stage 3 down the road.
Get a higher rated clutch if your plans include stage 3 power levels.

I'd say the southbend stage 3 daily or endurance or the DKM twin disk clutch would be my two go to choices for Stage 3 power levels.

Not to take away from HStuning, or any other vendor for that matter, the answers to your questions are yes and yes.

There are countless performance options out there and though this kit will handle some serious power from what I have been seeing, you will be reaching limitations if you are going to be north of 500 HP/FT-LB range.

Drilling will be required were you to go with this kit, outlined by the OP.

So I was going to buy this https://www.hstuning.com/product_info.php?products_id=3888

But if I am reading correctly I can get the exact same performance and components for half the price if I source it independently?

Also I won't be doing the install so is the drilling relatively self evident?

Thanks

Settled, but it looks like I want the more complete itemized list with all the extra bolts a few pages back. Now hopefully the installer doesn't screw up the drilling...

Thanks again

Out of curiosity, why is it the clutch that is linked throughout this thread the same piece you would find in a 2.0 A4? I would have guessed that a stage 1/2 golf r would be too much power for that clutch? Or is it the PP plate that does the heavy lifting or something?

The PP does most of the heavy lifting as it clamps the disk against the flywheel. The disk itself does play a large part, but in terms of the MK7 platform, the PP is the weak point.

Sorry for the wait here guys, been trying to find a better alternative to buying the genuine clutch kit with the disc no one will keep, our freinds at Sachs Performance offer a completed kit for the MK7's that would include a complete module with the flywheel. And while a great performance option they also offer the pressure plate for the TTRS model that will pair up with the other components. So the benefits of pedal feel from an OE set up but the capability of a performance set up. Also will not include a core charge.

Sachs Performance Pressure Plate ($384.67) *Edit*

Clutch Disc 240MM Part Number 03G141031P ($99.99)

Clutch Release Bearing Part Number 0A5141671 ($59.99)

Pressure Plate Bolts Part Number N90320701 x 6 ($0.89)

https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/au...screw-m7-x-14-a3-tt-genuine-vw-audi-n90320701

Total for the replacement kit, with all the recommended components comes out to $549.99, using a Sachs Performance Plate in place of the original Audi/VW one and tossing a plate you wouldn't use.

Hey, just for clarification - you mention a sachs kit complete with flywheel, but I didn't see the kit in your posted links... were you talking about something else? does the sachs performance pressure plate include it (I wouldn't think so at that price but asking anyway)? Thanks.

No the FW is not included that is why it is listed separately. He did state he was trying to see if Sachs would put a kit together so that we didn't have to figure out what to do with a clutch disc that we were not using.
