Vehicle status problem..

Hi everyone,
I've swapped out my original radio for a MIB2 with carplay.
Everything works fine, except under vehicle status, errors don't display.
Is it something I missed out in my coding?

Was component protection removed by a dealer, or was it hacked.

Thanks for replying. The machine should not have component protection.
Does this make it a hacked version?

This should be a China varient of the MIB2..

What sort of garages? A dealer? An official reseller of VW parts? A dodgy bloke down a back street?

We need to know whether this unit has been modified or not.

The garage is a official reseller of VW parts in China. He has confirmed to me previously that the radio is indeed genuine. Part number: 5DG035280B
