Just a quick check on tire and wheel size

I'm close to buying new wheels and tires for my 2017 GTI Sport.

Looking at Enkei Raijin 18" x 8.5" wheels (42mm offset) and Michelin AS3+ in 235/40-18 size. I'm pretty sure these will work fine but just want to check with those more knowledgeable.

Thanks very much dequardo. Looks like this combo will fit just fine. A little more flush to the fender which is perfect.

One more question. With an 235/40-18" tire, is there an advantage to an 8" wheel vs 8.5" or vice versa?

I'd go 8.5" if you have a choice. Really any difference (weight/tire fit) is going to be very subtle and both are perfectly fine.

Ordered the Enkei Raijin 18 x 8.5" with Michelin AS3+ tires mounted from Tire Rack. They should arrive at the installer in 1 to 2 weeks.
