Danger lurks here. If the orange peel is part of the color coats no amount of compounding, either by hand or power is gonna touch it until the clear coat is obliterated.
If the problem is in the clear coat there's hope but be very careful.
I think mostly we have to live with it. It doesn't seem to be "price specific" as I've owned cheap cars that came with great smooth paint layout and I've had expensive cars that were covered in orange peel. It's a crapshoot.
