I don't want to be fighting my clutch, as I daily drive it a lot!! But I will be in the range of 400WHP or more..... Is the stage 3 a fairly comfortable drive? I don't want anything too crazy..... Has anyone done the stage 3 yet?

Stage 3 is the most aggressive clutch that we offer that I still recommend for daily driven vehicles. It will take some getting used to, but after a day or so of driving with it, it's not uncomfortable to daily. There are a lot of reviews across various forums and Facebook groups.

If you're going to stick around where you're at, or even do a little bit more modification, I would recommend the Stage 3 for you. Especially if it's a daily driven vehicle.

so a year later things have changed. Pushing 330tq on the stock clutch and heavily into HPDE and TIme attack racing events. Right now I'm between ya'll stage 4 or the SB endurance stg 3.

Do you have nay users who use thier car in track applications? Also this will still be a daily driven car, in the snow, camping, groceries.

Are their any structural differences between the two kits that i should really take care to notice?

i'm hoping my clutch will last till the next sale day!

BFI's Stage 4 clutch is a 6 puck. Stage 3 is a full-faced copper-ceramic disc. I was looking at their Stage 3 and 4 kits when I needed a clutch replacement and decided on a Stage 3. I was told by them and a local indy VW specialist that a 6 puck would be harsh for a DD. Almost like an on/off switch.

I've had the Stage 3 on for 5,000 miles so far and it's been great. Had no problems driving with it in the snow or rain.

It's stiffer than stock, but not in a bad way. Very easy to use in traffic or when driving it hard. Easy engagement when you want it, and grabs hard when you want it to.

Since they are made by Competition Clutch, there is usually a 3-4 week wait time after ordering.

I'd recommend that you get a SS clutch line and an upgraded bleeder block to go with it.
