My person car build. I’ll be filling this thread with is20 setup info (previous setup) and is38 info (current setup)

Took car to dyno. Was 90’ inside temp and raining. This resulted in blow to my timing curve because only had one fictional fan and 1 othe that would barley blow.

All in all happy with results. Safe to say under better condtions 360-70whp is realistic.

Note- i can still add alot of boost down low, just choose not to due to no reason to stress motor, all racing is done 4k rpm and above.

Oh hey, you have the same clutch as me! I just passed over 300 miles on the break in period. Good to know that it can handle over 350 ftlbs to the wheels. I think I'm making just under 350 ftlbs to the crank, and the clutch being rated at 350 I was thinking I might be kinda close to the limit, but that seems to be a non-issue.

Oh its rated for much more. Marketing’s came in when apr released their numbers all sudden clutch rating changed.
Heres the actual rating before marketing came into play

Just wanted to say, my 5mt blew up the otherday, 3rd sheared right off and took another gear with it, got a new trans on the way.

Car had 69k miles
And made over 400ftq of torque for past 59k miles. And was driven like it was stolen.

I’ll have pics when i swap trans out soon, but i’m just going with an oem trans. 5mt. Too much money go to 6speed swap and my trans was 350$ for used with 43k miles. It lasted a long time and it was just its time to go.

Oof, well at least it died a warriors death. Honestly though I'm somewhat amazed with how well the 1.8 block seems to handle this kind of power.

Well that's a bit unfortunate that our transmission isn't quite as bullet proof as the 6mt seems to be. At least it's dirt cheap and from doing my clutch not a very difficult job.
