I tried to create a additive map 6 because for me it feels smoother than the previous absolute map. I tried to add boost in the 1500-3000 range because of my upgraded clutch.

Settings are:

1500 - 2.5
2000 - 3.5
2500 - 4.5
3000 - 5.5
3500 - 7.0
4000 - 7.5
4500 - 8.5
5000 - 8.5
5500 - 8.0
6000 - 7.0
6500 - 6.0
7000 - 5.5

Ambient 75°F
Fuel: Aral Ultimate 102 (97-98 Ron)
Mods: modded oem intake, pipercross drop in and upgraded clutch (up to 400 lb ft)

What are your thoughts? Can I add a bit more in the low revs?

I am peaking at 23 psi - is it ok or to high without a DP?

Next planned mods are IC and DP.

Looks good but i would not add more boost.

Works on any number. Just do 10 because anything less and you can't see a difference. BMW may be different.

BMW is different a little more on the sensitive side with the locked down DME so there’s only so much you can increase on the FOL without causing any unnecessary hesitation. Believe me on this, the BMW side of support is balls compared to the MK7... like massive kudos to George.

Diggs, if I want to run an E85 mix on map 2, will I notice any gains without increasing the boost or do I have to go to map 6 to see any differences? Also, when running an E85 mix should I change FOL from 50 to 60? Car is stock BTW.

yes timing will increase so it will feel faster

Got it. Now I never understood how much E85 I should be adding to get E30. It is my understanding that our fuel tank is 13 gallons which includes a 2.7 gallon reserve. It seems that everyone recommends putting in 7 gallons of 93 and topping off with 3 gallons of E85 but I never understood that since that would only get you to E27 since you must account for the reserve tank, correct? So on your FIRST fill up, shouldn't you add 7 gallons of 93 and 3.5 gallons of E85 when the fuel gauge is on empty since theres really 2.7 gallons of 93 still in the tank? And then every time afterwards put in 7 gallons of 93 and 3 gallons of E85?

Is there a point though where it gets to high?

Not in St Louis with a 125mph limiter.

Ok because I never posted a log before and just assumed my car was running fine on map 2 with 93 octane but recently I've been trying to learn how to read logs and it seems that most peoples iat doesnt go above 105ish. I noticed I had auto logging on so I decided to explore some of my logs and I noticed my iat were in the 140s sometimes so I didnt know if this was bad or not. Ill post a usable log up sometime soon just to make sure everything is running smooth. It just kind of freaked me out that my iat was so high compared to others.

It's not bad it just kills timing advance. Less timing advance=less power. If you want to lower it get an intercooler.

Here's my latest log in 3rd after several tweaks from George. Looks pretty clean to me but I'd love to hear what people think.

Mods incl DP, drop in filter and eBay twincooler. Running 91 fuel with 3 gallons e85 in the tank.

JB4 settings here.

Thanks!

Hey Diggs man,
This is the information you gave me for my e30 and it has worked perfectly. I was wondering if you could tell me what to change if I had to go 93. I have to go out of state. I searched for e85 stations near the town I will be in with no luck. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Diggs.

I think without logging he may not know for sure, but I'd lower it 1psi from 5000+ rpm. That or just go back to map 2 :)
