SD Cards 2018 GTI Autobahn

So the glove compartment has two SD card slots. One slot has a card installed from the factory. VW says they give you this card, it is not needed for anything specific. You can download music to it as long as it is in the MP3 or WMA format.

I have no experience with SD card slots in this or any other car. Is what they said true? I have seen posts where people say the card is for the Nav.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Where the heck did you get that misinformation? That's the maps card. Slot 2 is available for music.

RTFM.

It’s the map card, take it out and look at the label!

Just remember to unmount the SD card first or you could ruin it. The instructions are in that little book marked OWNERS MANUAL. Actually, just leave it alone and read the manual.
