yeah i think 4 gallons is the limit. would put the tank at about e33 wiht 91 octane. my FOL has been at 60. what would i look for on trims as a sign of an issue? when it starts hitting 40+ ? never had a CEL though.

It would be mostly with the shape of the curve, ie; nice linear rise and plateau (or slight fall). If it gets all spiky and such with a wide range (like 30 to 50, back to 30 etc.) then it may have a fueling issue. There is also an explanation in the JB4 page that covers WOT timer @ max boost and fuel pump duty cycle and when they could cause the CEL.

Again, the added E content would allow a tad more boost, especially with crap 91. But that added boost may in turn be too much at higher rpms and limit/pull timing. Need to find that nice symbiotic relationship between it all :).

Here is my latest log with about 3.5 gallons of e85 mixed with a full tank of 93. what do you think?

At this point, Diggs said "move that shit back to map 1". lol

This morning on E25: back to back 3rd gear pulls

Car feels sooo much better. Timing advance looks way better, too. Diggs: you happy with this?

Roy

Looks pretty good but your trims is getting high.

Map0 log

Out of curiosity I wanted to see a stock log. Thought I set to map4 but later realized I was set to map0. Was actually able to capture a log with map 0....for some reason I thought map4 was required for logging??

Just realising that I posted to the JB1 thread before...

How it es looking? Car performs well but I had once a code of 3AD2 in the JB4 app. Should i rise the FOL? Its at 40 right now.

Can I add some boost in the middle revs? Is 7 the maximum or is 8 possible?

A question just for understanding: Why are sometimes absolute values instead of additive values recommended?

Increase FOL to 50. Clear the code. Report if it comes back.

Additive has limits but is a set it and forget it year round. Some cars run better on one and not well on the other.

i just scanned the codes on my JB4 and got the following:

4131A
3AD2
0000
6000
6000
0060
0000
6000
6000

i've tried deleting the codes. going into the settings and clearing saved codes. but they immediately pop back in. I'm not having issues and only had lights on my dash when i first installed the JB4, it was on the wrong firmware, FOL was wrong, and fuel bias as all set to 0, the car barely ran. But now i feel like i have no way of knowing whats new and whats old.

Can you guys create sigs or something?

I think the first one is a DP code, but I don't remember if you had a DP or not. The second is low fuel pressure. The rest are codes from other faults on the car. Maybe they are something. Maybe nothing. Sometimes it took me 5/6 times pushing clear for it to clear them out.

Also, stating what gas you are running helps. Yes, it is tedious but what's even more tedious is going back through all your posts to figure out your mods and fuel. help a brotha out.....

i didnt even think it was relevant to my question, sorry.

its a 2015 gti running map6 on 93 octane with e30 blend. stock hardware except for a clutch.

this was the latest log i ran.

https://datazap.me/u/jibbajoe0129/e30-map6?log=0&data=1-4-6-11-14-25-27-28

are the codes stored on the car or on the JB4 unit itself?

and i've now created a signature for any future posts.

The car. The JB4 just has a built in reader. Clear them all off and see what comes back. The JB4 should do it, just keep trying. If not, any OBD2 reader should be able to do it, at least get the 3AD2 code off.
