Tilt down mirrors - 2016 GTD

Hi,

Do the 2016 GTD have a tilt down feature on the mirrors when you put the car in reverse?

If not is there anyway of enabling this feature without voiding factory warranty?

You can enable this by coding with VCDS/OBDeleven, but it won't work with accuracy (position memory) unless the mirror motor and the door controllers both support memory position. If you can do a scan of your controller part #s with VCDS/OBDeleven that will at least tell you if you've got the needed controllers. Also, VCDS/OBDeleven have the capability of looking at whether the mirror position is being registered. If so, you'd be good to go. If not, you'd need to upgrade the mirror motor to the one that supports memory. It would likely also involve adding additional wiring and pins to the loom.

It is my understanding that most ROW cars support mirror memory provided that the right door controller is installed. When I researched this a couple of years ago, the mirror bodies that did not support mirror memory seemed to be exclusive to the USA.
