You guys do know that the airbag systems rely on all of the airbags working as intended.

While an airbag "simulator" will fool the system into thinking the airbag is there, the system will not protect you as intended.

Yea because it looks cool while you take a couple of minutes putting a harness on, meanwhile everyone else has driven off. Been there done that.

It's not a matter of if they will deny coverage and it's more like they absolutely 100% will deny your claim if they find you have tampered with the safety equipment in your car. The only exception is if this car is track only but in that case you better have the harness, race approved helmet, and track insurance. I pray that is the reason this guy wants to do this and not to just look cool.

3.3 ohm's resistor works fine on mk7 :)
And you don't need a resistor for seat belt.

Recaro actually makes resistors plug and play for vw but quit expensive compared to "do it yourself solution"
