My previous "fun car" was a 2006 Subaru WRX wagon but it had coilovers and were too stiff for daily use, sold it and the daily beater VW UP TSi and bought the MK7 GTi :)

My 2011 Sonata 2.0T was my previous car, and as chance would have it, the sun roof leaked. Which would qualify for the definition above I guess.

I only ever upgrade:
2004 PT Cruiser GT (2.4L Turbo) - was bad looking, but quite fast
2013 Jetta GLI - first car I bought myself
2016 Golf R 6MT - First MT
2017 Porsche 718 Cayman (base) - First "real sports car"

(bold = current)

I'm still only 27, so plenty of room to go :)

Pretty new to the car game here. Only driven 2 cars before this one, first was my parents 2003 Honda Odyssey, which I didn't have for that long. It had a huge dent in the rear that was starting to rust out and the transmission, as most J-series autos do, was starting to go. After that I got a 2010 Accord sedan, K24 4 cyl with 5MT, had it from 2012 to 2018. Somewhat fun to drive but really long wheelbase and low power fwd. Plus sides were huuge backseat and trunk. Got lowering springs for it, lightweight wheels and ContiExtreme DW's, and an ecu tune for slight hp/tq but also for driveability (rev hang, dbw lag, launch control lol). Ended up in a used 2015 GTI autobahn, with PP, LP, and DAP in Carbon Steel Grey with 26k on it. Definitely less space than the Accord, but also almost double the tq and still better mileage.

2001 Integra LS 5spd manual (slow, comfortable, very efficient, super fun)
2010 Lexus Is250 6spd auto (slow, uncomfortable, not efficient, boring)
2006 RSX-S 6spd manual (quick, not efficient, not comfortable, super fun)
2018 Mk7.5 6spd manual (quick, efficient, comfortable, practical, pretty fun)

Integra is my favorite car so far, RSX-S is the funnest and fastest and mk7.5 is the best compromise of them all.

IS250 is the buyers remorse car lol

08 MK5 Jetta, 6-speed torque converter auto. First car. Loved that thing to death, then my older sister wrecked it.

2011 Jetta SE, 6-speed torque converter auto (same as above, HORRIBLE programming). Hated with a passion.

2012 GTI 6-speed manual, 2 door. first manual car. Loved it to death but had lots of warranty problems and I was afraid of owning it post-warranty because I was only 2 years into college and still had 3 years of payments left, couldn't afford any bullshit.

2015 GTI SE 6-speed manual, 2 door. Used the positive equity on my previous MK6 to be able to afford this puppy thru the end of college. An amazing car, didn't have a single problem with it... Until I wrecked it going too fast on an exit ramp. Car never drove the same after the suspension was replaced.

2015 GTI S DSG, 4 door. Previous car was a lease, so no "equity" so to speak to roll into this car. I like it a good bit, but it gets pretty bad gas mileage despite me using exclusively top tier 93 and red lining daily, while still taking it pretty easy on the highway 90% of the time. I do like how quick the DSG shifts, but I can't wait to get a TCU tune at 60K.
