AAC Braking

Hi

Got my GTD a few weeks ago, 1000 miles down and really enjoying the car, everything I was hoping it would be :)

Question I have is does the ACC always brake to slow down or does it initially just ease off then brake if needed? When using standard cruise control in the past, I would typically disengage it as I approached a car in front and just let the car drop speed then brake if needed. Just wondering if ACC automatically brakes as this would presumably cause wear on the pads quicker?? It's a great system regardless.

Cheers.

The engineering is clever enough, to use engine braking 1st, so if you are cruising along say the motorway and approaching a lorry, the throttle will be disengaged as required. Brakes don't come into it until much later on.
