Final product. Definitely more intake/turbo noise with all of the mods combined. Definatley better throttle response with all of the mods combined as well. I'd call it a success for ~$225 all-in for the K&N, Euro block-off plate, CTS turbo inlet pipe, inlet hose, and turbo muffler delete (all on sale for 25% off at shopdap.com) and of course the freebies...grating delete and cutting out the d. side of the air duct.

EDIT - removed them as they got lots of bubbles in the heat that wouldn't go away. Cool idea, just hard to do I think with vinyl only and not a true adhesive sticker.

ECS boost gauge installed...such a fun little mod! Install was a breeze but I did take my time...about 2 hours total including boost tap. Their instructions are v. good and the gauge and tap are top-notch quality. It matches the other gauges really well and I like the fact that it sweeps on startup like the other gauges.

ECS atmospheric diverter valve adapter installed. Fun noise maker especially paired with the boost gauge. Install was straightforward. No noticeable negative. Only hear it when you let off the throttle sharply vs. tapering. No noise from shifts because DSG.

Edit. Removed/sold. Got old.

I finally took the plunge and upgraded my 2018 GSW S 4Mo DSG to the IS20 (used rev. L w/~5K I paid $350 for locally) with supporting Stage 2 ECU/TCU software from Unitronic as well as a Unitronic downpipe (picked up during the recent sale for 10% off so $864). I have ~21K on the odo and have been running Unitronic’s Stage 1+ tune as well as the Stage 1 TCU tune since ~3K miles/Jan ’19 with zero issues. I’m super stoked with the upgrade, it’s seriously quick (to me) and I’m seeing sustained peak boost numbers (via a tapped boost gauge) with this setup around ~22psi on 93 gas; I was ~17 psi on the Stage 1+/IS12 so about 5 more psi of boost. Looks to be sub-5 sec 0-60. Hoping this is a reliable setup for my DD! I had the gear installed as I just didn’t want to dick with it right now, they did a great job, and now I have some backup if something goes wrong at a highly-regarded local German shop. The downpipe adds a *little* more noise (mainly at cold start and under WOT..duh) but honestly, with the 4Mo exhaust, it’s nearly stock-sounding which is perfect for me. This car has surpassed all expectations for a car that was $20K new OTD.

At this point the only other bolt-on performance part would be an intercooler and maybe I’ll do that next year before summer. The only other bits I am considering are suspension/brakes which hasn’t ever been in my wheelhouse – Eibach Pro Kit w/Bilstein B8s seem to be the way I go/where I landed for a reasonable lowering and performance upgrade and I’ll probably do 312mm f. brakes at some point as well for a little more OEM stopping power. Now about that UM Haldex tune….

Do you have the settings for the Urban Joke taillights? I haven't seen that done on an MK7.5.

Ha! Yes, PMW sticker. Your GTI is really nice looking. I've seen a bunch of really nice ones in the last week or so here in Midlo.
