Following advice of @tigeo I updated my Unitronic software, upgraded to RS3 coils and ruthenium plugs and my misfire / stumbling problems seem to have gone away. Feels great to have the car out of storage and on the road! Fully removed the JB4 for now, may just hold on to it for a while in case of future need.

Also got ahold of one of these spark plug adjusters, very happy with it for $10 on eBay

0-60 4.33 seconds after those latest changes. Smiles all around :)

Put in my poor man's low profile headrest, an extra center headrest I got on Facebook marketplace for $30. Nobody ever sits in the center anyway!

For AliExpress Paddles, I am impressed. Could have done without the R Line logo. Maybe that'll disappear later.

And a couple other pictures of the car.

Inspired by another thread on here and to entertain myself on my commute, I decided to go for the best MPG without making any physical changes to the car and with reasonably conservative driving.

Filled up today when range hit zero. 464 miles / 13.88 gallons = 33.4 avg mpg. I did 100 miles on the highway at 72-74mph with traffic, I think that put me under 36mpg for the tank.

I'd need to average 36mpg to hit 500 miles with indicated 0 range, maybe I'll try that on the next tank. Maybe some weight reduction / tire pressure changes too. And more drafting.

My best 30 mile commute average was 40.0 mpg. This was on 55mph stoplighted roads, I hit all the lights at the right time.

I'm usually at 26-27 per tank during the winter and 29-31per tank in the summer hand calculated. On long several hundred mile interstate trips I can get 35. Not too bad imo. Are you 4motion? I am and definitely think it does offer a small penalty compared to the fwd wagons.
