Before my introduction just let me say that I'm following this forum from the moment I bought my first Golf and only now I decided to register.
My name is Angelo, I'm from Portugal, I'm 33 years old and I owned a Volkswagen Golf VII GTD for 2 years untill last August.
When I bought the GTD, an used one from Germany, a friend sent me some photos of a GTI that the same stand had there to sold... Since that day I stayed with that car on my mind!... 2 years ago!
The GTD's on mainland were doing between 450km to 500km to regenerate the DPF but mine, on an island, was doing regenerations from 200km to 200km. The inconvenience of having to keep the car working and the extra diesel consumed, made me think about that GTI so, I decided to sold my GTD. Once it was sold...it was time to buy the car of my dreams. 2 years later here it is:
My Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport!
30.000km, one owner, full service history... A dream come true! The car is all original, has some work to do (1 or 2 wheels need some caring), the brake rotors have some oxidation (thank you Germany salty roads) and the paint is needing some polish because of the cheap washing...nothing really worrying!
