PN# 5G1-947-105 is the part number for the backlit overhead assembly for car's with the sunroof. I unfortunately don't have the part number for the version without a sunroof switch.

Oh ok. Thanks. I have an S Base model so no sunroof. Will have to look into this.

So you just replace the cover Or is it more complicated?

^^^Just replace the entire unit. Install takes about 10 minutes depending on how carefully you unclip everything.

Thought I would ask here instead of starting a new thread fro a simple question..

So I won my company fantasy football league and hit the pot of 400.00. Wanted to get some the auto side folding mirrors for gti . Anyone got a link or can recommend which ones to get ?

With or without BSM? Just the housings?

I’d get them from e-acca.com. I bought BSM housings, aspherical BSM glass, door switch, door panel clips from them. $460 USD shipped (Aug 2017).

Part # for non-sunroof: 5G1-947-105-Q-WHI

I got mine from VWDirectAutoParts.com but if you search the part # you should be able to compare current pricing.

Also, here's the the post that I used as a guide. Just need steps 3-6.

034 upper dogbone insert and spherical pendululm/dogbone mount arrived today. Also picked up all the bolts and o rings for a haldex service. Planning to do both tonight.
