Radical New Engine in Ford F-150

First I heard these were being tested or even planned for mass production. No mention of a turbo - anyone see one on the videos? Would be nice to know at what RPM the HP/torque are developed, and if can be tuned for more HP. They obviously tuned for MPG.

Relatively old news. Various opposing piston concepts have been around for a long time. If these were fully developed, they would already be in vehicles. They talk about low NOx emissions, but a two-stroke design creates a lot of other issues for a mass production vehicle and today's emissions requirements. Plus a lot of retooling to produce these engines for any adopting manufacturer. Here is their website:

They've been talking about it for 14 years and I've still never seen a vehicle with an opposing piston engine running or driving.
