How low should I push for a 2018 AB?

The local VW dealership has a 2018 GTI AB in M/T they've been trying to get rid of. Its already down to $32k, and they've had it on the lot for about 300 days.

How low do you think I could try to push them without sounding condescending? They know I'm in the market for a hot Golf, and that my original plan was to wait for used/off-lease 2018 Golf Rs to drop in price down to <$35k.

Recently a person reported $7500 off sticker on a 2018 SE. That was a great deal and you might be able to use that as a target. There is plently of real world data in "Post your deal" thread in the same section of forum.
