Nice drive near Des Moines, Iowa

Hello Great Plainers!

I am driving up to Des Moines from northwestern NC in early April for a cousin's wedding. Going to be up there about two days early, and am looking for a nice drive in the area. Maybe rolling hills and curvy roads, if possible.

I plan to drop by the visitors bureau when I get there, but am hoping to hear from some car driving lovers!

Thanks in advance

Can't tell if serious. If you want a curvy roads and hills take the long way through the Ozarks.

Am serious. Going to be up there a few hours before my mother and sisters arrive.

I know that the plains are not know for really curvy roads (I lived a few years in Fargo), but am wondering if anyone would know of a nice drive it the area that would have a few spots where I would have to turn the wheel.
