Reputable shop in San Antonio?

I used to go them with my MK6 when they were DBC. Only issue I ever had was I ordered an AWE dp for my MK6 through them and they ended up installing a MK5 dp on my car somehow. Berk refunded my money and put my stock dp back on so I know hes good for making things right. Kinda hesitant about going back to them now that I’m in SA again seeing how they changed their name and they’re no longer an APR dealer. Kinda makes me think something happened.

+1 with German Car Specialist! Berk and his team are great. Yes, I know about the APR fiasco, actually asked him specifically about it. Basically, a customer's car had a problem, and APR was blaming them, and German Car Specialist was blaming the tune compatibility. I don't really care, I don't run an APR tune.



They have worked on my GTI since 2015 and have done a fantastic job each time, and the work is pretty cheap. Go see Berk and tell him Deeno sent you, he will take good care of you and your car.


As for Goose......yikes!! Super overpriced, will NEVER go to them again. Which dealership do you go to in San Antonio, one of them is mod friendly, if you know the guys over there. They know NEVER to scan my car without telling me first, they even install aftermarket parts for me at the dealership

Which one do you go to?

I've gone to Goose the last three OCIs without issue. Motul 8100 X-cess and a filter for ~$90 (which is less than Jiffy Lube charges for 6qts of their top oil). Haven't priced out any other services so I can't say one way or another about them being overpriced, but the customer service is great.

I've been meaning to try German Car Specialists, but my schedule is sporadic and it doesn't seem like they like drop-ins. May price out my Twintercooler install with them tho, so I'll letcha'll know what my experience is like.

GCS was gonna charge me $250 for an intercooler install.

Goose charged me 700$ to install freaking springs..... no thank u.
