I have one with no rash but clear coat damage.
When removing wheels weight adhesive I got Oops cleaner on the tarp the wheel was laying in face down. Small area, couple inches is removed. But all metal and black paint good.
One could try to clear coat it. Would make a good winter wheel. No damage so no known issues.

Wheel is 3 years old. OE wheel from car.
A couple stone chips.
One spot is missing clear coat and another larger area has wavy clear coat. Don't know if the wavy clear coat would come off in time?
