2019 Rabbit GTI DSG

Just wanted to get started, it is going to be a loooong road for me but I already have a long list of modifications planned! Just a few initial thoughts after putting some miles on him. Really quite impressed with the handling and the limited slip, it works better than expected, especially with the all seasons that are not anywhere near the cars capability. It really holds it back.

The recent Car and Track has a nice review but the comparison would have been better if the summer tires were installed for the road portion...which it had a hard time keeping up with the N and R which come stock with very sticky tires.

So far the car is dead stock and being broken in carefully but not babied. I have only prepped the paint and used some F11 Top Coat sealer to finish off. The paint actually has quite a few imperfections or discolorations but not enough to drive me to address it with the dealer. It needs some coats of carnuba buffed off to give it some layers of protection. While these spray products look beautiful out of the gate, it seems they don’t cover up very well or last too long. Will experiment with the F11 after some buffing with Griots Carnuba and report back.
