H is hella old dude... T/S/F have succeeded it in 2017+. H's are also the most common to blow in NA.

2018 R's have F's based on my research, have no confirmed yet.

Also, yes F is a redesigned and stronger IS38.

H's blow more because there is more of them out there.

T's also have changes done to them I'm just not sure what.

Quantity may be a factor, but may not be the only factor. Not knowing exactly what changed in T's/S's to compare failures etc etc.

Correlation does not determine causation, one of the first rules of statistics.

But if I were in the market for a turbo, H's would be last on my list TBH.

Just contacted ECS tuning, they haven't heard of revision F, the latest revision they're selling is revision H. You can do either that or their hybrid version: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-hpa-motorsports-parts/is38-hybrid-turbocharger-upgrade/hva-241~hpa/

literally, a google search says otherwise, every major dealer sells the F's now, just google the part #.

Again, anyone selling you an H is selling you a turbo that is 2-3 revisions old. Deviation even listed the production life of each revision......

Why are we paying $1,500 for an IS38? Get a hybrid for that money or find a used one under a grand.

FCP's price is VERY good and the F is upgraded from the factory so it's a good option IMO, if you don't wanna go balls to the wall or custom tuning (ie Cobb or Meastro)

I need to find a dealer that does 24hr test drives on a Golf R so I can get me one of these new Rev Fs

Exactly!

Also, prices vary a lot depending on the country...
