Welcome, hope to see you out there sometimes.

I haven't seen anything that updated the infotainment to have Performance Monitor enabled for 2016, I don't know if its possible for 2015...
I have Performance Monitor enabled in my 2016

GTIs did great at Bristol Tours GS class, granted it was mostly GTIs....Patrice Bousquet took the Match Tour and I got pretty lucky to win the Champ Tour. The nature of the fast asphalt took some getting used to compare to concrete but really no excuse to how bad I was driving for the Match. Was pretty happy that some last minute knob turning yielded results for the Champ Tour. My first tour win and really only 2nd time I won a National level event, also my best pax finish at one of these too(29/254) Got to meet more GTI drivers that I haven't met and it will be one interesting event at Nats!

Brakes are almost due for replacement! Any recommendations on pads for GS that would still be good for daily? I used to daily HP+ pads. No more. The squealing made me want to cry.

The daily rims are white so less dust would be nice, but not crucial...

I replaced factory pads with factory pads....I just didn't want to experiment.....

Only issue is I don’t have a GTI with PP, it’s the basic brakes.

No real complaints with the OEM brakes, but I thought since they’re due for replacement, I’d look into aftermarket pads. Only the fronts need replacing though. Putting better brake pads only on the front would turn up the bias to the front more though, so I may have to just do all 4.

Decisions!

Updates on Nationals? Saw a LOT of GTIs were in the field (but ultimately a Civic Si took the win!). The rain looked like a blast!

How was it? Any DSG GTIs in the field?

In the market now for a 4 door GTI with PP!

My car finished 2nd, my codriver Ken Tsang was leading after run 2 on 2nd day but Lance Keeley(ex GTI driver) ran a blazing last run that Ken can't match and had to settle for 2nd. The event was kinda chaotic since a lot of people were affected by day one monsoon. We had the right tires for the changing conditions, a lot didn't. I was pretty gutted by how I drove. Salvaged the last trophy spot in 13th but not what I came to do. A lot of GTIs did pretty well. I haven't gone through the videos yet. There were a few DSG cars there.

Adding updates here too....spent a weekend in Canada, Picton, Ontario to be exact for Canadian Autoslalom Nationals....

I ran in GS by myself, apparently autocrossing a DD is not a thing there(only half kidding).

I was 4th on pax combined 2 days, courses were fun but I wish I had a better clean run on day 2...

I just started with a local club this year, competing in GS as well. RE71s on a set of BBS RC from a C6 Audi.

Looks like I'll end up 4th in Street class in the club championship, but I finished 3rd on PAX at the last event. Speaking with one of the directors, he thinks I've got the rookie trophy locked up for the year as well.

All in all, I'm very pleased with my performance this year.

I saw a lot of cars listed with Continental tires. Which model was that? Was it the tire of choice for the wet conditions?
