Lowering my car 40-45mm will I need new shocks?

Looking to get V-Maxx springs or Eibach ones for my Golf MK7 however I don't know if i'll need new shocks on top or anything else for the new springs, any help would be appreciated.

depends on how many miles are on your car now, lowering 1.8in will shorten the life of a stock damper. How much, depends on driving style and road conditions.
